Nova Scotia's 10,000 registered nurses are licensed by the College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia (CRNNS).
Nova Scotia welcomes registered nurses from around the world. If you graduated outside of Canada and have never been registered in this country, you will need to submit an application to assess your eligibility. You do not need to be living in the province when you apply for registration and licensure.
More than 4,000 licensed practical nurses call Nova Scotia home. The College of Licensed and Practical Nurses of Nova Scotia is the governing body for LPNs in Nova Scotia, and is responsible for registration and licensure. LPNs in Nova Scotia hold a Certificate of Registration from the college.
