Nova Scotia's many health-service areas do not act in isolation, and our planning strategy recognizes the diverse influences and interactions. Only by involving all the people and organizations that play a role in provincial health care can we create a fully integrated system. Already we are working to build stronger partnerships with professional unions, educational institutions, other government departments, district health authorities, and researchers.
As part of the planning process, we are establishing a committee made up of representatives from Nova Scotia's many stakeholder groups. This committee will help us establish closer networks and create a truly integrated system that takes into account the many facets of health care. We are also surveying other stakeholders to get on-the-ground feedback so that we can take a comprehensive approach to priorities and concerns across the province.
